Specialized Meat Institute Workshops Offered at 2024 IPPE

The Meat Institute is hosting several special workshops at the International Processing & Production Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta between Jan. 29 – Feb. 1, 2024.
The first featured session, Food Safety Design Principles Workshop, will provide an in-depth overview of the 10 Principles of Food Safety Design and how to apply these principles in processing facilities. This workshop will take place over two days – Jan. 29 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET and Jan. 30 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET.

The second session, Meat Institute Worker Safety Workshop – Control of Hazardous Energy Training with Design Safe, will outline how to proactively use alternative methods to control hazardous energy and keep team members safe. This training will outline the strategic differences between utilizing current state of the art alternative methods via ANSI Z244.1 standard on the control of hazardous energy and OSHA standards on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). This session will be held on Jan. 31 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.

Register for these special workshops during the general IPPE registration process. The fee for each session is $299.

The 2024 IPPE will be held Jan. 30 - Feb. 1 and is a collaboration of three trade shows – the International Feed Expo, International Poultry Expo and International Meat Expo – representing the entire chain of protein production and processing. The event is sponsored by USPOULTRY, the American Feed Industry Association and the Meat Institute.
